As
2012 wraps up, I want to thank you for your partnership in bringing hope and
healing to those who live in the shadow of torture. Because of you, nearly
3,000 men, women and children are now living healthier, more peaceful lives
than they did just one year ago.
Michael
is one of those survivors.

“Since my horrible
experience during the war, nobody, not even a member of my family, was
interested in my pain. But when CVT
approached me and understood my pain, my hope returned and I feel much better
now. Thank you CVT.”

When
he first started as a client at CVT, Michael was afraid. Michael was subjected to merciless torture in
his home country in Africa. He shared
with us, “Since my horrible experience during the war, nobody, not even a
member of my family, was interested in my pain.
But when CVT approached me and understood my pain, my hope returned and
I feel much better now. Thank you CVT.”
Your
tax deductible year-end gift before December 31 will help
us continue this life-changing work for Syrian and Iraqi torture survivors in
Jordan, Somali and other African survivors in Kenya, Eritrean survivors in
Ethiopia, and survivors from more than 30 countries who we’ll help in the U.S.
Thank
you for your commitment to rebuilding the lives of survivors like Michael. Together,
we will continue to work toward a world without torture.
With
my warmest wishes for a happy new year,
 Curt
Goering
